SERVICES

Each child is unique and has specific needs. In order to enhance motor skills and achieve maximum independence, we work together to create a personalized program applying the therapy that best suits each case

Intensive physiotherapy

Intensive therapy is based on the repetitive, reinforced, and meaningful practice of specific motor tasks according to the needs of each child, in order to learn or regain motor skills.

This type of intervention is usually performed in children with neurodevelopmental disorders. Through intensive therapy we generate new opportunities for trial and error, encouraging the mastery of new skills in a shorter period.

The program can go from 1 to 3 hours a day during 1, 2 or 3 weeks. The initial assessment with the family is essential to determine the optimal time of intervention according to their needs.

Ongoing physiotherapy

Regular monitoring allows us to adapt to both the children’s physical and environmental needs, which change throughout their growth.

The frequency of ongoing intervention varies according to the necessities and/or availability of the child and its family and can be from 2 days a month to 3 days a week, adapting to each situation individually.

A regular intervention more spaced in time is accompanied by a regular follow-up. An individualized exercise program is also delivered to the child’s family so that they can continue working from home.

Telehealth

With this online service, families can carry out physiotherapy sessions through a digital platform. The therapist leads 45-minute physiotherapy sessions where she accompanies the parents during the execution of the exercises.

With online physiotherapy we can also guide relatives in the planning and execution of exercises fully adapted to the needs of each child that they can carry out at home. In these 30-minute sessions, guidelines are reviewed and updated to maximize the children’s potential.

Helping aids

The manufacture of orthopaedic aids made of plaster (standing frames, mini-standings, and pelvic seats) and thermoplastic (hand and feet splints) are complementary tools to the treatment of physiotherapy that promote daily proper body alignment to prevent joint deformities.

We also advise on the acquisition and use of orthopaedic aids (splints, wheelchairs, walkers, and household supplies) and help families in the decision-making process.
