specialities

My experience and continuous training allow me to apply the most appropriate treatment according to every child's need

Task-specific training

Goal-directed practice of functional real-life tasks with the intention of acquiring or reacquiring a skill. Climbing stairs, ride a scooter or pouring water on a glass are oriented tasks that will be progressively adapted and involve active participation

Spider cage or Universal Exercise Unit

Spider Cage is a metallic structure that, by using a belt and elastic cords, allows the child to exercise balance and muscle strengthening in a suitable position and alignment. It encourages independent standing and walking training.

Treadmill training

Intensive gait practice on the treadmill. A very complete training that improves the gait pattern in addition to other associated motor skills such as coordination, balance, or physical resistance

Floor exercises

The ground, the most accessible environment for children, allow them to practice movement patterns that will be the basis to acquire new and more complex motor skills such as standing or walking

Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES)

FES applied during task-specific motor training in children with spasticity elicits motor responses and improves the ability to perform new tasks such as walking or grasping

Constraint Induced Movement (CIMT) and bimanual Therapy

Intervention focused on children with hemiplegia or brachial plexus palsy. The restriction of the less affected upper limb encourages more spontaneous use of the affected arm. Bimanual therapy improves coordination and use of both hands

I work with children and young people with delayed motor development or neurological conditions that affect their motor skills
